her research focuses on shortening time-to-diagnosis for bloodstream infections through rapid pathogen identification; works in rare cell & biomarker capture; goal of Nanopath was to get diagnostic timeline down to less than 1 hour & has beaten that by having a Urinary Tract Infection test which has results ready in 15 minutes currentl y in hospital testing for FDA approval; Nanopath claims to identify DNA & RNA without the use of any nucleic acid ampliofication technology (NAAT) to screen for potential disease & get results within 15 minutes so treatment can begin before the medical appointment is over; currently only able to identify HPV & urinary tract infections; has 2 pending patents
