* Brigg’s earliest research led her to identify four main personality types in 1917 which later developed into the MBTI terms meditative, spontaneous, executive, and social. * Together with her daughter Isabel Briggs Myers, they created the psychological test Myers–Briggs Type Indicator which identified four main personality types in 1917. * Using that they could identify 16 different personality types. * Briggs was primarily the driving force and inspiration behind the creation of the Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and Isabel was the work force that created the physical test itself.
