1947 ENIAC- Subroutine (function) use in computer programming

During her work programming the ENIAC, Antonelli is credited with the invention of the subroutine. Together with her Eniac colleagues, she developed subroutines, nesting & other fundamental programming techniques & invented the discipline of programming digital computers. She was one of the operators on the Los Alamos nuclear calculations. Antonelli led the group of programmers who converted ENIAC into a stored program computer by March 1948.
