Awards & Achievements
Achievements: with Elzada Clover was first to catalog plant life in the Grand Canyon on the Colorado River; they became the first two non-indigenous women to raft the entire length of the Grand Canyon;
1st expedition began at Green River UT & ended at Lake Mead AZ
before leaving for her trip down the Colorado she packed up all her tings so they were taken care of should she die on the trip
in addition to help keep the boats on their 1st trip afloat, they collected plant specimens after dark & cooked all the meals on the journey; on the 1st day of the trip 1 of the boats with a third of their food got loose so she & Don Harris got into another boat chasing it through 4 miles of rapids, after catching it Harris went back to tell the others leaving Jotter to spend her 1st night in the Canyon by herself
